School Friendship Links

By working alongside remote communities, we have built many strong and enduring friendships with the people we have supported. By developing these links with beneficiary communities can continue to provide continued engagement both directly with the Trust but also with schools in the UK and on the Isle of Man. Linking schools provides an opportunity for pupils to learn about each other’s culture and lives while developing friendships and continued support and a number of UK schools arrange regular trips to their link school to experience the culture and to help with refurbishments and renewing of resources. Some of the links have been running for over 20 years!

Fundraise

Do you enjoy a challenge? Whether it’s a marathon, bike ride a walk or a coffee morning there are lots of ways in which you can raise funds for Pahar Trust Nepal. Once you have decided on a challenge it’s easy to set up a fundraising page via our Just Giving page.

Gift Aid your donations
If you are a UK taxpayer, adding Gift Aid, whenever you make a charity donation allows us to reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift – that’s an extra 25p on every £1 you donate. So, if you donated £10 it would be worth £12.50 to us. You can download our Gift Aid form here

If you would like to raise funds for a specific project please do get in touch with us.

Leave a Legacy

Making a Will gives us peace of mind and the knowledge that we have contributed to the well being of our nearest and dearest. Some of us also consider leaving a gift to charity; perhaps you could consider the Pahar Trust Nepal worthy of your benevolence.

Leaving a gift will make a significant difference to those in Nepal who deserve a safe learning environment, access to a better standard of education or better health care facilities. Leaving a gift in your Will to charity is a significant decision and we understand that you would want to consider it carefully. A gift can be left without specifying a particular use for it, this is very helpful as it can be targeted to where the need is the greatest or it can allow us to respond quickly to urgent requests such as those which followed the earthquakes of 2015. If you wish to specify an area of interest to contribute to such as school building, education or health we would gladly ensure that your legacy benefits your identified cause.

Any gift that we receive, no matter how large or small makes a valued and important contribution to our resources. You can be confident that your gift would be used wisely, effectively and with great appreciation.

If you would like to found out more about leaving a legacy please get in touch with us.

Megan's Story

I would like to say a massive thanks to the Pahar Trust, as an 18-year-old and this being my first solo trip 16 hours away from home, everyone I met in Nepal was so polite and friendly.
