Recently at the Pahar Trust School in the Eastern village of Sanghu,  several solar panels have been installed to bring electricity to the school. Additionally, a new computer has been donated to the school to allow the pupils to gain some vital basic I.T. skills. This project was kindly sponsored by the staff of the Lancashire Education Authority.

Amthek School opens.

A new primary school in a remote part of Eastern Nepal has recently been opened by Pahar Trust representative Mike Quayle. The school will be able to house just under 100 pupils. Photos show school and opening ceremony.

Suketar Healthpost

Progress continues to be made on the healthpost at Suketar. This will be an extremely important resource for the people of this extremely remote area of Nepal where there are now many Pahar Trust schools. It is hoped it will provide health education to the local community as well as providing a relatively wide range of healthcare and having a substantial impact on the quality of life of the surrounding district.
